Today, one of Gettysburg’s oldest hotels is also one of its newest. Reconstructed in cooperation with the Historic Architectural Review Board, the Gettysburg Hotel has preserved the historic character of this significant landmark in our nation’s history. While outfitted with the latest in technology for business meetings and small conferences, the newly redecorated facilities still retain their historic charm of the past two centuries.

Historic Settings and Facilities to Make Your Event Historic

Gettysburg Hotel’s Grand Ballroom and three versatile facilities and rooms each bearing the names of famous visitors from past centuries can be set up appropriately to suit any occasion.

The Thaddeus Stevens Room, featuring large inlaid windows with magnificent floral window treatments giving the room a sense of space in which to hold a variety of meetings or social event functions, is named for a 19th century guest whose law office was housed here.

Conveniently located in downtown Gettysburg within walking distance of shops, galleries and historic attractions, the hotel offers the ideal location for corporate gatherings and business functions, in addition to social events and private parties. Our abundance of meal options, room arrangements and special services will be adapted to suit your specific requirements.

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Room, whose namesake held many social and business meetings within the confines of the hotel, is distinguished by its stately windows and bold floral carpeting. It is suitable for meetings, seminars or presidential-style board meetings.

Daniel Webster, the great orator, was another visitor to our hotel, giving his name to another room for the meeting planner to choose from. The Daniel Webster room is of a formal nature to hold small intimate meetings or receptions.

The Gettysburg National Bank, built in 1814, is now the home of our Historic Grand Ballroom featuring 28-foot hand painted ceilings, inlaid with gold, green and burgundy colors and a Grecian border. This is accentuated with sweeping velvet evergreen draperies and 19th Century chandelier and sconces, which is a tribute to all the grandness of soirees from days gone by.
