Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival

As everyone is back to work from a long holiday vacation, we are looking forward to another fun weekend! We suggest the 2010 Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival. Celebrating its sixth year, the festival has become a highly anticipated event in September. The festival coincides with the grape harvest season for Pennsylvania wineries. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample hundreds of delicious wines, experience great music, participate in wine demonstrations, and enjoy Gettysburg in the fall. Relax this upcoming weekend in beautiful, historic Gettysburg!
An exciting addition has been made to this year’s festival! Public Transportation is now being offered through Freedom Transit from the festival to downtown Gettysburg!! It is only $3 to ride all day or $1 per ride. Click here to view maps, schedules and purchase your pass.
The schedule of events for the weekend is as follows:
Saturday, September 11th:
- 12:00 to 12:30 – Wine Appreciation Seminar with John Kramb, owner of Adams County Winery. Start the day off with John’s light-hearted look at the complexities of real wine appreciation for real people. You may gain a few tips prior to tasting as John uses a combination of humor and fact to help you overcome the intimidation of wine.
- 12:30 to 2:00 – The Resistors, a Beatles tribute band
- 2:00 to 2:30 – Wine/Food Pairing Demonstration with Chef Daneyon White. Chef White is known for personal and professional catering. His services are sought by those who plan cocktail parties, wine tastings and dinner parties.
- 2:30 to 4:00 – Skyla Burrell – 100% Original Hard Driving Blues!
- 4:30 to 6:00 – Jazz Me Band…everything from Sinatra to Santana…
Sunday, September 12th:
- 12:00 to 12:30 – Wine Appreciation Seminar with John Kramb, owner of Adams County Winery. - 12:30 to 2:00 – Big Cam & The Lifters – good time rock-n-roll dance music
- 2:00 to 2:30 – Wine/Food Pairing Demonstration with Chef Daneyon White. Chef White is known for personal and professional catering. His services are sought by those who plan cocktail parties, wine tastings and dinner parties.
- 2:30 to 4:00 – The Willy’s: the “classic rock and beyond” band
- 4:30 to 6:00 – Tom Larsen Band
General Admission Tickets are $20 each and include a souvenir wine glass, unlimited samplings, access to live performances/cooking demonstrations. There is a group discount for 15 or more so grab your friends for a weekend getaway! Tickets can be purchased here online until Thursday, September 9th.
