Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival

Published September 7, 2010

As everyone is back to work from a long holiday vacation, we are looking forward to another fun weekend! We suggest the 2010 Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival. Celebrating its sixth year, the festival has become a highly anticipated event in September. The festival coincides with the grape harvest season for Pennsylvania wineries. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample hundreds of delicious wines, experience great music, participate in wine demonstrations, and enjoy Gettysburg in the fall.  Relax this upcoming weekend in beautiful, historic Gettysburg!

An exciting addition has been made to this year’s festival! Public Transportation is now being offered through Freedom Transit from the festival to downtown Gettysburg!! It is only $3 to ride all day or $1 per ride. Click here to view maps, schedules and purchase your pass.

The schedule of events for the weekend is as follows:

Saturday, September 11th:

  • 12:00 to 12:30 – Wine Appreciation Seminar with John Kramb, owner of Adams County Winery.  Start the day off with John’s light-hearted look at the complexities of real wine appreciation for real people.  You may gain a few tips prior to tasting as John uses a combination of humor and fact to help you overcome the intimidation of wine.
