Adams County Arts Council Community Center

Last week, the Adams County Arts Council held a Capital Campaign Kick-off Celebration at the Gettysburg Hotel Grand Ballroom. State Sen. Rich Alloway, presented the Adams County Arts Council with a check for $200,000 for the its new Community Arts Education Center slated to open in the fall of 2011!

This is such exciting news for Adams County and Gettysburg! The building will be on South Washington St., just blocks from the Gettysburg square.The 10,000 square foot building will include open, inviting spaces for classes in music, dance, theater, visual, and culinary arts; a gallery to accommodate local artists and special exhibits; a large reception hall for performances, rentals, and community events; and an outdoor sculpture garden.

Also, the Adams County Arts Council will be holding their annual Masquerade Party at the Gettysburg Hotel on November 6th. This is always a wonderful time and a party you won’t want to miss!
