Eisenhower Memoir Book Signing
Published February 17, 2011
On February 19th, during President’s Day weekend, David Eisenhower and his wife Julie Nixon Eisenhower will be making a visit to Gettysburg for a book signing of their newly released memoir entitled “Going Home to Glory: A Memoir of Life with Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961-1969.”
This memoir gives special insight into the life of Dwight D. Eisenhower through the eyes of his own grandson. By going inside the life of Eisenhower between the time he formally ended his public service career and the time of his death, the book teaches us more about Eisenhower’s ability to remain active in party politics, counsel presidents and other world leaders, and comment on important issues and individuals. Read more about this book here.
Make a stop at Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center as part of your President’s Day getaway here in Gettysburg. Both David and Julie will be available to sign books from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be books available for sale that day, so there is no need to worry about purchasing it before hand.
