Things to Do this Weekend in Gettysburg 2/18
Published February 17, 2011
Today was a gorgeous day in Gettysburg and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer! With highs in the upper 60’s, this President’s Day weekend is the perfect chance to visit Gettysburg. Here are some of my suggestions!
Costumed living historians Frank & Bonnie Orlando will be stepping into character to introduce the lives and experiences of General and Mrs. Lee. This is a great event for the family. Also, February is home school month at the David Wills House. Home School families will receive 25% off their admission throughout the month of February!
Saturday February 19th through Monday February21st, the Hall of Presidents and First Ladies will have a special holiday opening in honor of President’s Day.
You can also receive a FREE Gettysburg National Park Quarter at the Hall of Presidents with purchase of full adult admission (while supplies last). For more information on this event visit the Gettysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau website.
If you’re looking to relax, listen to some live music and enjoy some food and wine, then head on over to Hauser Estate Winery on Friday February, 18th. The rock and roll band, The Willys Trio, will be performing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Join their Facebook page for more information about this and future events.
Also, don’t forget about the Eisenhower Memoir Book Signing on Saturday at the Visitor’s Center. Read more here.
Happy President’s Day!
