Spring has Arrived in Gettysburg!
Published March 18, 2011
I hope I am not speaking too soon, but the gorgeous weather today has me so excited. Although this coming week may not be up in the 70’s like today, I think the frigid temperatures have subsided.
Just a reminder: If you received a GARMA Coupon Book over the holidays, you have until March 31st to redeem them! There are so many excellent deals in there that you won’t want to pass up.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend in Gettysburg, here are my suggestions:
Evening with the Painting – Saturday, March 19th.
Time: 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Tickets are still available for this event that allows you to join the experts for an “after-hours” viewing of the Gettysburg Cyclorama painting at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.
Learn the history of the genre of cycloramas and the history of the Battle of Gettysburg Cyclorama, our country’s largest painting, including the massive multi-year conservation effort. Then, journey to the Cyclorama platform where you’ll see the painting for yourself and get answers to your Cyclorama history questions.

Visit the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center’s Facebook page for a video about this event.
UnCork York’s Tour de Tanks is still in full swing this weekend! Taste wine straight from the barrel of 13 Pennsylvania Wineries (including 3 Gettysburg wineries) and meet the winemakers! For more information click here.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine!
