Mother’s Day Gift Giving Guide

Published May 2, 2011

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 8th! There are a number of shops in Gettysburg that offer beautiful items that Mom would enjoy. If you’re looking for handmade jewelry, try checking Foxxy Moxxy, True Friends Boutique, the Bluebrick Gallery and the Spirited Ladies Shoppe. Each of these places also offers an array of lovely items such as scarves, handbags and more. Here are a few photos of other unique Mother’s Day gift-giving ideas to give you some inspiration!

A friendly reminder on the window of The Spirited Ladies Shoppe

Such a fun gift for Mom!! It would pair beautifully with a bottle of wine from one of our local wineries. This glass is available at The Spirited Ladies Shoppe on Chambersburg St.

A gorgeous photo card taken by local photographer Melinda Hutton is a great way to say "Happy Mother's Day!" These cards are available at 17 on the Square Antique Shop.

These adorable bears are actually handcrafted in Pennsylvania from dried gourds! They are sure to warm Mom's heart. Available at Gallery 30 on York St.

If Mom loves working in the garden, consider getting her one of these fun, unique birdhouses! They are also handcrafted in PA from gourds and available at Gallery 30.

These deliciously scented body products (this is sweet mint!!) are from a BRAND NEW SHOP in downtown Gettysburg on Baltimore St. called Lark! I will be spotlighting the store in another post.

Lark also offers soy candles and these eye-catching J. Devlin Glass Art Frames. Each picture frame is an original design by artist Kathy Gustafson. She uses a copper foil technique developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the 1800's. The colorful stained, embossed and iridized glass is used along with a lead-free solder. Complete your gift with a special photo for Mom!

Don't forget about picking up a special Mother's Day Bouquet! The Flower Boutique in Gettysburg offers absolutely gorgeous arrangements like this one. Click to view more.

Treat Mom to a special Mother’s Day brunch at the Gettysburg Hotel! Happy Mother’s Day!
