4th of July Fireworks in Gettysburg
Published June 29, 2011
Fourth of July weekend is one of the busiest times to be in Gettysburg. It is the Battle of Gettysburg Anniversary, plus, this Friday is First Friday downtown. (another post about each of these events coming shortly).
A staple of 4th of July no matter where you are is, of course, fireworks. This year in Gettysburg the fireworks will be happening on Friday, July 1, at 11 p.m. They will be launched from the Gettysburg Rec Park, which is also the location of the Gettysburg Fireman’s Carnival going on now. The fireworks will be visible from many points in town.
The Gettysburg Fireman’s Carnival kicked off yesterday, June 28. Stop by for some cotton candy and play a few carnival games! There is something special about a small town carnival in the summer!

Gettysburg Fireworks will be on Friday, July 1st
Happy 4th of July!!!
