Come see what a 19th Century base ball (yes, it used to be two words) match was like before million dollar contracts, television and gloves!  Featuring clubs from all over the United States who will compete for the tournament championship using the same style uniforms and equipment and playing by the same rules and customs as were used in 1864. Family fun for everyone!

The 2011 edition has gone national with 10 clubs competing from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Colorado.  Throwing out the “first balls”, will be President Lincoln, General Lee, General Grant and Eddie Plank III.

The tournament will be broken down in to three pools on Saturday.  The first division is theLincoln Pool featuring the Cecil BBC of Chesapeake City, Maryland; the Flemington Neshanock from New Jersey; and the Huntington Champion Hill Toppers from Indiana.  The Grant Poolincludes the defending champion Talbot Fair Plays from Maryland; the Mudville Nine fromMassachusetts, and the Saginaw Old Golds from Michigan.  The Lee Pool features the Eclipse BBC of Elkton from Maryland; the Cincinnati Buckeyes from Ohio; and the Denver Blue Stockings from the Colorado Vintage Base Ball Association.

On Saturday, each club plays the other 2 clubs in its pool.  The pool winners as well as one wild card will move on to the championship tournament on Sunday.  Two semi final games followed by the championship and 3rd place game will follow.  The other five clubs will join the Mechanicsburg Nine from Pennsylvania on Sunday and will be split in to two pools where each will play the two other clubs in its pool to round out the festival.
