Saturday, July 30th:
Hauser Estate Winery Summer Concert Series.

Class Act Featuring Rita at Hauser Estate Winery
This is the last concert of the summer at Hauser Estate’s incredible outdoor stage! Last month, crowds danced the night away under the stars to favorite, Pentagon. View photos form last month’s show here. This weekend, they are hosting Class Act featuring Rita. If you loved Pentagon, you will love Class Act! A little bit about the band: They formed in the early 1980’s, with the intent of producing a sound that was true to form of Classic R&B. This was not a difficult task to achieve, seeing how the founder of Class Act (Bob Angelucci), was also the founder of The Magnificent Men, a band from Central PA that gained national recognition during the late 60’s and early 70’s.
It didn’t take long before CLASS ACT was recognized as one of the leaders in musical entertainment in the Central PA market. They have a stage presence second to none. They work very hard at what they do, but truly enjoy every minute of it. They have a passion for capturing the audience.
Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the gate! Purchase them online here. Events at Hauser Estate Winery are always a blast. Don’t forget to bring a picnic basket, blanket and chairs if you wish!
Sunday, July 31st:
Country Music Star Phil Vassar takes the stage at Granite Hill Camping Resort.
The state-of-the-art concert venue, best known for the semi-annual Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival along with Great Country 107.7 WGTY will be hosting Phil Vassar on Sunday. The beautiful setting at Granite Hill offers the perfect atmosphere to enjoy this concert. Here is an excerpt from a recent article from the Flip Side: Read the full article here.
The tour stops at Granite Hill Camping Resort this Sunday in Gettysburg. Vassar visited the area and saw the battlefields last year. “You just get chills being there,” Vassar said.
Granite Hill is one of many “down home” tour stops Vassar and his band are making.
“We play anything from an amphitheater to a rib barbecue. It’s really fun. The cool thing about it is that every night is different. The weather is different, the people are different. You never know what’s going to happen,” Vassar said.
Vassar is known for hits like “Carlene,” “In a Real Love” and “Just Another Day in Paradise,” as well as songs he’s penned for other artists including Tim McGraw (“My Next Thirty Years”), Jo Dee Messina (“I’m Alright” and “Bye, Bye”) and Alan Jackson (“Right on the Money”).
“I love to write songs. It’s what I do. But I do love to play live. I’ve been playing live way longer than I’ve been writing,” Vassar said. Vassar said he couldn’t pick any single song that he’s proud to have written.
“Well heck, hopefully most of them. Every song I’ve written has been a snapshot of where I was that day,” Vassar said. “When I look back through, I know exactly where I was when I wrote it.”
Tickets are still available and can be purchased online here.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
