What’s Going On This Weekend 9/23-9/25

Hello, Fall!! Today is the official first day of autumn and I am so excited for the next few weeks filled with festivals, events and more. Not to mention, apple harvest season is in full swing!

Celebrate the arrival of this beautiful season with these fun events this weekend:

Saturday, Sept. 24th and Sunday, Sept. 25th: Pippinfest in Fairfield!

Saturday, Sept. 24th and Sunday, Sept. 25th:  Giant Yard Sale at Granite Hill Camping Resort
From 7am-7pm, Granite Hill Camping Resort (3340 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg, PA) will be holding a Giant Yard Sale to coincide with Pippinfest. The camping resort is located on the way to Fairfield from Gettysburg! This Yard Sale is open to the public. Setting up is free for Granite Hill campers and non-campers may set up for $10. Sellers must bring their own table and tent. Areas are available for multiple tables and multiple family setups. Parking is free for selling and buying patrons and food and drinks will be available on-site at the Red Shed Café.

Saturday, Sept. 24th: 44th Annual Gettysburg Fall Outdoor Antique Show
Come to downtown Gettysburg from 7am-4pm (rain or shine) to experience  more than 120 antique dealers and collectors from the North and South with high quality antiques and collectibles.

Items range from primitive cupboards, sideboards, benches, farm tables, and wooden boxes, to lamps, coins, pattern glass, art glass, Depression-era glass, and ironstone. Visitors will also find clocks, gold jewelry, rings, pictures, pocket knives, bottles, old toys, crocks, jugs, old linens, lace, dolls, pocket watches, old guns, holiday collectibles, postcards, and country farm items.

The event is held on Carlisle, Chambersburg, Baltimore and York Streets, along with Lincoln Square, all in Historic Downtown Gettysburg.  The proceeds from this semi-annual event continue to support the community activities of the Gettysburg Area Retail Merchants Association.
