December First Friday Re-Cap

Published December 5, 2011

The downtown Gettysburg First Friday Cookie Walk was held this past Friday, December 2nd! It was a wonderful, festive evening to be in downtown Gettysburg.
In addition to the First Friday activities, the Gettysburg Festival’s 2nd Annual Gingerbread House Celebration was going on at the Adams County Arts Council Education Center. The gingerbread houses were truly works of art. My gingerbread evening concluded with a delicious Gingerbread Man martini at McClellan’s Tavern.

Here are some photos from the evening:

They had a station for the children to help decorate The Gettysburg Festival's gingerbread house display. Candy was generously donated by Mister Ed's Elephant Museum. The finished house is now being displayed at the Festival office.

The 1st place entry in the Gingerbread House Celebration presented by Christmas Haus: Mary Elliott of Timonium, MD who defended her title from last year with this exquisite birdhouse-style entry. The Gettysburg Hotel awarded the top prize of $500 to her!
