Published February 28, 2012
This year, visit downtown Gettysburg on March 16th & 17th to celebrate with a pint and some traditional fare to put you in the St. Patrick’s Day Spirit!
McClellan’s Tavern, located at The Gettysburg Hotel, will be celebrating St. Patty’s Day with $3.00 Guinness drafts all day. Food specials for the Irish festivities will include Reubens and Corned Beef & Cabbage.
Other Places To Put On Your List For St. Patrick’s Day:
Garryowen Irish Pub:
Garryowen Irish Pub, located on Chambersburg St., offers a true Ireland experience. Enjoy the atmosphere, Irish fare, and draft beers!
O’Rorkes Eatery & Spirits:
Located at 44 Steinwehr Avenue, O’rorke’s is a great place to celebrate St. Patty’s Day. The pub was named after Union commander and hero, Patrick Henry O’rorke, an Irish immigrant who settled as a child in Rochester, New York.
A Lit’le Irish, Too:
A Lit’le Irish, Too is an Irish/Celtic inspired store located on Chambersburg Street. With a wide selection of clothing, flags, glassware and more, this is a must-stop for St. Patrick’s Day.
Since St. Patty’s Day falls on a Saturday, make it a St. Patrick’s Day weekend! The Gettysburg Hotel offers relaxing accommodations within walking distances of all the places I mentioned! Visit their website for reservations or call 1-866-378-1797.
