What’s Going On This Weekend: March 30th-April 1st

If you have yet to visit Gettysburg this Spring, this weekend is the perfect opportunity! The blossoms are still on the trees, although they won’t be for long.

Besides enjoying beautiful downtown Gettysburg, here are a few fun events to put on your list this weekend (March 30th – April 1st)

Taste of the Town Gettysburg. Saturday, March 31st.

The Gettysburg Adams Chamber of Commerce invites you to the annual Taste of the Town Gettysburg event (previously named the Winter’s Palette) where area restaurants, bakeries and caterers will feature their tastiest specialties and bite-size samplings for your epicurean enjoyment. The celebration of cuisine will offer hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, soups, entrees and dessert samples that will please everyone in attendance.This event features a jewelry raffle and cake decorating contest.
When: March 31, 2012 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Mister Ed’s 2nd Annual Easter Bunny Party and Egg Hunt. Sunday, April 1st.

This event is sure to be fun for the whole family! The Easter Bunny will be in attendance from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  Egg Hunt (over 3,000 eggs!) with candy and prizes for children 12 & under.  There will be entertainment and fun for everyone!  Bring your cameras and Easter Baskets or bags.

Last Weekend of Tour de Tanks. March 31st & April 1st.

This is the last weekend to participate in the Mason Dixon Wine Trail’s 2012 Tour de Tanks! Celebrate the arrival of new vintages with special tank and barrel tastings Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. With your souvenir Mason-Dixon Wine Trail glass in hand, you’ll chat with Trail winemakers, meet fellow wine enthusiasts and enjoy tasty treats as you travel the trail. Tickets are still available at participating wineries.

April 6th: First Friday, Gettysburg Style, celebrates Green Friday in honor of Earth Day. McClellan’s Tavern will be featuring a Vegan Tapas Plate with Hummus and Organic Wine (red and white).

April 8th: Bring the entire family to the Gettysburg Hotel’s Annual Easter Buffet from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Reservations required 717-337-2000.
