Did you know that Gettysburg is getting its very own iPhone app as part of Gettysburg’s 150th Anniversary Commemoration? It will act as an interactive map and personal tour guide for places to see and things to do around town!

From the Gettysburg 150th Website:

The specified points of interest, i.e. museums, restaurants, shops, and historical sites will be plotted on a map or representation of Gettysburg from which the user can navigate in real life. “Overlays” of additional information such as seasonal Ghost Tours or attractions and tourism information will also be available. Users will be able to search for nearby attractions (i.e. “Pub”, “Restaurant”, “Bed & Breakfast”, etc) and filter search results to view a list of places to see and things to do around them. Once at a location, users can “check in” via FourSquare integration.
