Only Three More Weeks of the Summer Film Series at the Majestic

Published August 13, 2013

It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over, isn’t it?

This has been summer filled with great memories and some great events right here in Gettysburg, and that takes away the sting of another summer slipping away just a bit.

One of my favorite summer traditions is catching a classic movie at the Majestic. So much in fact, I wrote about it earlier this summer. This is the seventh year that the Majestic has been putting on classic movies in its newly-renovated space, with shows every Wednesday night at 7:30pm.

For only $6.00 per ticket, what a great opportunity to enjoy a night out with friends or that special someone! Not to mention, it’s also a change to enjoy a midweek getaway at the Gettysburg Hotel before the summer is over. Popcorn, refreshments, and beer & wine are available.

There’s only three films remaining in the 2013 Summer Season, so get to the Majestic tomorrow night and enjoy a little classic movie magic.

August 13: The Red Shoes (1948)
One of the most critically-acclaimed, visually-stunning British films of all-time about the agony & the ectacy of ballet, love & betrayal.

August 21: North by Northwest (1959)
Alfred Hitchcock’s man-fleeing, dive-bombing, cliff-hanging thriller about mistaken identity starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint & James Mason.

August 28: Guys & Dolls (1955)
Frank Loesser’s Tony Award-winning musical, movable crap game starring Marlon Brando & Frank Sinatra at the top of their games.
