Summer means that festival season has officially begun in the Gettysburg area. The weather is warm, the sun is shining and it’s the perfect time to be outside enjoying the things you love. Fresh fruit, live music, vintage sports, and craft beer are just a few of the reasons to celebrate this summer season. We’re sharing some of our favorite annual festivals this month that can’t be missed during your next trip to Gettysburg.
2019 Festivals in the Gettysburg and Adams County Area
64th Annual Blueberry Festival
July 13th and 14th
Pick your own blueberries, freshly baked treats, live music, and more await you at this annual festival at one of the areas most popular farms.
Adams County Irish Festival at Gettysburg
With a full day of Irish music, dancers, food, merchandise, and more, the 18th annual Adams County Irish Festival offers wholesome family fun while benefiting charitable community organizations in Adams County.
Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival
July 20th and 21st
965 Pumping Station Road
Channeling the popular ball game circa 1863, the two-day festival will showcase 24 different teams competing in 48 matches over two days.
August 9th, 10th, and 11th
The festival features multiple live bands across multiple venues in the Gettysburg area. The event benefits Four Diamonds, whose mission is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
29th Annual Peach Festival
August 10th and 11th
The weekend will be peachy featuring wagon rides, homemade peach inspired treats, and lots of kids activities.
Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival
August 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th
Granite Hill Camping Resort
Some of the area’s best folk artists will be on hand for the festival with live musical performances, as well as workshops. This family-friendly event has arts and crafts, food vendors, and merchandise for everyone.
Gettysburg Brew Fest
Each year, the Gettysburg Brew Fest features more than 150 U.S. craft brews and ciders, produced by more than 50 of the best craft breweries from Pennsylvania, the Mid-Atlantic and across the U.S. Enjoy appropriate ‘beer cuisine’ prepared by some of the region’s most creative food trucks.
