Gettysburg Hotel Enhanced Cleaning Protocols

At the Gettysburg Hotel, the safety and well-being of our guests remain our highest priority. We pride ourselves in always providing a safe and clean environment for guests to enjoy. In addition to normal cleaning operations, we have enhanced these procedures by increasing frequency and including specific recommended disinfecting and sanitizing products. We comply with the CDC guidelines, including frequent hand washing, PPE protection, social distancing, and sanitizing of all surfaces and high-touch areas. These enhanced protocols are consistent with the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s guidelines regarding enhanced cleaning standards. We thank you for your compliance and contribution to our desire to maintain a healthy safe environment.

We are adding to our already high cleaning standards throughout our public areas and guest rooms, focusing additional attention on high-touch surfaces, including but not limited to doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, light switches, TV remotes, elevator call buttons, drawer pulls and thermostats. All hard surfaces, living room, seating areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms will be thoroughly sanitized. We use Eco Lab chemicals a recognized leader in our industry. Their disinfecting products are listed on EPA’s List N of disinfectants for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. They quickly disinfect in 3 minutes killing 99% of germs and kills Norovirus in 45 seconds.

Check-in and Check-out
To implement additional cleaning protocols, check-in time is now 4:00 pm. Please note that we will try our best to accommodate early check-in and late checkout requests.

Public & Meeting Spaces
We have arranged our seating and walkways to comply with social distancing. We respectfully request you wear a facial mask in public while on property and contribute to our desire to provide a safe, healthy environment for you and our employee associates.

Personal Hygiene
Our associates wash their hands often and comply with guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and local government and healthy authorities which require wearing protective uniforms including facemasks and gloves.

Social Distancing
We respectfully request that you adhere to social distancing recommendations while in public areas. Our associates will adhere to social distancing protocols. If you require housekeeping or maintenance services, our staff will be wearing protective wear, such as masks and gloves, and will maintain 6 ft. distance for everyone’s safety.

Bedding, Linens & Towels
Beds will be made before your check-in with freshly laundered sheets, pillowcases, mattress pads, and duvet comforters. We wash in commercial washers with hot water and approved sanitizing chemicals. Additional blankets, pillows, and bedding for pull-out sofas will be delivered fresh upon request. Our sheets and towels are cleaned professionally in commercial machines with recognized Eco Lab chemicals following a comprehensive and safe six-step process. We will only change your bedding and towels upon request.
